Only Testing
Testing is all we do. We stay independent from any remediation companies as we want to remain completely unbiased in our testing processes and the information we provide to our clients.

In order to keep full impartiality from decontamination companies and practices, Meth Residue Testing do not make any decontamination recommendations.

We are only interested in providing you with accurate and timely information so you can make an informed decision whether it be to buy, rent or sell a property.

The most accurate and reliable way to detect the presence of meth residue is by official chemical testing conducted by a laboratory. The Meth Residue Test methodology is a modified version of NIOSH 9106 and we use an NATA accredited laboratory to conduct our analysis.

Lab reports will give you a full and comprehensive set of results compared to an instant DIY Meth Testing Kit. DIY kits will usually only provide an indicative result – a positive or negative reading (below 0.5 μg/100cm²) and they can give you inaccurate results if samples are taken incorrectly.

For around the same price of a DIY kit and for your own peace of mind, why wouldn’t you get one of our trained Meth Residue Test technicians to conduct the sampling for you?

Why Test for Meth?

  • Any property can contain hazardous amounts of contamination detrimental to the occupants' health.
  • Meth contamination is rarely visible and once contamination has occurred the residues can have a half life of 200 years and remain in surfaces for decades until the problem is properly remedied and the property is professionally decontaminated.
  • Property contaminated by meth poses serious health risks such as an increased risk of damage to the central nervous system, behavioural and neurological disorders in children, birth defects and even miscarriages. Exposure to low concentrations of meth residue can cause symptoms such as headaches, dizziness and nausea, respiratory problems, skin irritation and allergy type symptoms.
  • Compensation is being sought and rewarded to tenants who have lived in contaminated properties and litigation cases relating to meth contaminated homes are on the increase.
  • Decontamination of newly acquired properties can cost tens of thousands of dollars and may not be covered by insurance. In some cases where the property is badly contaminated, it may have to be demolished.
  • A contaminated property will decrease significantly in market value. Obtain a meth report, just as you would a building or pest report before making an investment.
