The Testing and Reporting Process

One of our Field Sampling Technicians will complete a thorough investigation of the site and take swab samples from specific areas within the dwelling. A report is prepared upon completion and the swab samples are couriered straight to an independent laboratory for analysis. The whole testing process takes between 45-60 minutes.

The lab returns a forensic analysis of their findings and a comprehensive report based on these finding is compiled and emailed directly to the client within 48-72 hours from the time the samples are received at the lab.

The Australian Government currently sets the ‘acceptable’ level of contamination on surfaces at less than 0.5 μg/100cm² (0.5 micrograms per 100cm²).

We offer two types of testing methods: a Base Composite Test and an Individual Sample Test. Both types are designed to determine the presence or level of methamphetamine residue in a given sample area, usually 100mm², with a detection limit of 0.02 μg per sample.

Who Should Test for Meth?

Our clients range from property owners and investors, real estate agents, local councils and insurance companies to tenants, parents and individuals who want to ensure their existing or potential properties are free from harmful meth residues.

Australia Wide Service

Testing is currently available in the greater Brisbane region only. More regions will be added in the coming months as we intend to expand our business across all other major cities in Australia.

Base Composite Test

A Base Composite Test is the more basic of the two tests and is specifically designed to detect the presence of meth residue and determine whether the levels exceed those set within the Australian Government’s guidelines.

This testing is ideal for pre-purchase inspections or routine pre-tenancy checks where you have no suspicion of methamphetamine being present in a property but want to be sure.

The result you receive from the laboratory is the TOTAL level of contamination from a number of swabs taken from within the property.

Individual Sample Test

An Individual Sample Test is necessary if your property has been positively tested for meth residue or if you already suspect it to have moderate to high contamination levels.

This testing method allows us to provide a detailed analysis of each sample area so as to isolate the specific areas where contamination levels exceed those set within the Australian Government’s guidelines. This report can also be used by decontamination companies to guide their work if necessary.

The result you receive from the laboratory is the level of contamination from each individual sample area from within the property.

We will provide a quote based on the number of individual rooms/areas to be sampled.
